As of August 1st 2021 there are no restrictions on youth sports placed by Erie County or New York State. Due to this we are not currently restricting access to programming at this time. That being said, we will continue to perform several of our precautionary measures to ensure participant safety, once you have been accepted into the program this year you will be given a COVID Protocol outline and guide.
The Hasek’s Heroes program gives boys and girls ages 4 to 14 the opportunity to learn how to ice skate and play hockey. The program provides all equipment the players may need to participate in the program. The program runs from November through March.
There is no fee to participate in the Hasek’s Heroes program, which was developed specifically for families who cannot afford the cost of the sport, but who want to give their child a chance to learn to skate and play hockey.
Registration opens in September. Players accepted in the program must meet financial eligabilty requirements – new skaters are always welcome!
If you would like more information about the Hasek's Heroes program, please give us a call and we will be happy to assist you. Or you can also email firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions, or to submit your applications.
“I would like to say what a blessing Hasek’s Heroes is for Buffalo. Hockey is a very expensive sport and for the Heroes to provide it at no cost is amazing. Three of my kids have been in the program and also have participated in the free tutoring program they offer. My oldest, a few years ago, was selected to go to a tournament with Hasek’s Heroes in Detroit, Michigan. It was something he talked about for years.”
