Welcome to the Hasek's Heroes Hockey Team! Our teams offer a fantastic opportunity for young hockey enthusiasts to develop their skills, experience the thrill of competition, and build lasting friendships both on and off the ice. For those eager to take their love for the game to the next level, we are adding several teams this season based on age. Building on the skills and camaraderie developed through our programs, our teams provide an exciting platform to participate and play vs other local teams.
Player Placement:
We will find the right spot for each player in our organization, as they join team play.
We have two options for those who have gone throught our program and now are ready for team play!
Heroes House League (HHL): The Best, Most Fun Developmental League!
The HHL is designed to provide young players with the perfect blend of fun and development, emphasizing the fundamentals of hockey while ensuring a positive and enjoyable experience. Skating once a week, every Saturday morning from September to March, the HHL is a mixed-age league primarily made up of younger participants.
This league is the next step for players who graduate from our Learn to Play program. After developing their skating and basic hockey skills, these players continue their hockey journey in the HHL, where they gain valuable game experience while continuing to build their confidence on the ice.
The league is broken down into three exciting phases, each aimed at developing skills, building teamwork, and fostering a love for the game:
Phase 1 (September - November):
The focus is on building a strong foundation. Players will work on fundamental skills, including skating, puck handling, and hockey practice. The emphasis is on skating drills and skill-building exercises to get players comfortable and confident on the ice.
Phase 2 (December - February):
Mini half-ice games! Players are divided into teams and get a chance to apply their skills in real game situations, developing their hockey sense and teamwork. This phase helps them learn how to play in a game environment, focusing on positioning, passing, and the flow of the game.
Phase 3 (February - March):
Full ice games! Players are split into two teams, and the action heats up. Players will change on the horn, allowing them to experience the full ice hockey experience while continuing to improve their game skills.
The HHL is an incredible opportunity for kids to develop their skills in a fun, supportive environment while playing the game they love. With consistent practice and gameplay each week, they’ll gain the confidence to move forward as they continue their hockey journey.
